    February 28, 1998 : guitarist Chris DeGarmo leaves "QUEENSRYCHE". He begins working with Peter Cornell, (Chris Cornell's brother), on a future project.

    February 28, 1981 : "IRON MAIDEN" release their "Killers" album.

    February 28, 1986 : "METALLICA" release "Master Of Puppets".


    February 27, 1990 : "ARMORED SAINT" guitarist Dave Prichard dies of leukaemia.

    February 27, 1977 : Royal Canadian Mounted Police raid "ROLLING STONES" Keith Richards Toronto hotel suite while he was asleep and seize 22 grams of heroin, 5 grams of cocaine and narcotics paraphenalia. Richards is arrested, charged with possession of heroin with intent to traffic and possession of cocaine. He is released on $25,000 bail with trial set for October.

    February 22, 1989 : "JETHRO TULL" win the first Hard Rock/Metal Grammy Award.

    February 20, 1976 : "KISS" have their footprints added on the sidewalk outside Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theater.

    February 17, 1988 : a 12-year old Hollywood, FA, "MOTLEY CRUE" fan set his legs on fire while trying to imitate a stunt in the group's 'Live Wire' video. The boy suffered burns over ten percent of his body. "Motley Crue" issued a statement saying the band's stunts should not be tried at home.

    February 17, 1989 : "WHITESNAKE"'s David Coverdale marries Tawny Kitaen in Bel Air.

    February 15, 1977 : Sid Vicious joins the "SEX PISTOLS" as their bassist, replacing Glen Matlock.
     

    February 14, 2002 : Mick Tucker, drummer for "THE SWEET" dies at age 54 after a five-year battle against leukemia.

    February 1, 1968 : Universal International Studios offers "THE DOORS" $500,000 to star in a feature film. The band also announces plans for an ABC-TV special, a "humor book" by the whole group and a book of lyrics and poetry by Jim Morrison. Only the last project ever happens.
