    January 20, 1982 : OZZY OSBOURNE is hospitalized with rabies after biting the head off a dead bat that was thrown on stage by a fan.

    January 19, 1973 : "PINK FLOYD" begin recording "Dark Side Of The Moon".

    January 19, 2000 : "CONTROL DENIED" guitarist Chuck Schuldiner successfully undergoes life-saving surgery at NYU Medical Center to remove a cancerous brain-stem tumor.

    January 19, 2000 : Spencer Goodman, the man who kidnapped and killed the wife of "ZZ TOP" manager Bill Ham in Houston in 1991, is executed by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas. Ham was present for the execution.

    January 18, 1991 : "AC/DC"'s show in Salt Lake City, UT is catastrophic when a general admission audience of 13,000 stampede, killing three individuals. One of the fathers brings suit against the band, but by spring '91 the case is dismissed.
