January 20, 1982 : OZZY OSBOURNE is hospitalized with rabies after biting the head off a dead bat that was thrown on stage by a fan.
January 19, 2000 : Spencer Goodman, the man who kidnapped and killed the wife of "ZZ TOP" manager Bill Ham in Houston in 1991,is executed by lethal injection in Huntsville,Texas.Ham was present for the execution.
January 19, 1973 : "PINK FLOYD" begin recording "Dark Side Of The Moon".
January 18, 1991 : "AC/DC"'s show in Salt Lake City,UT is catastrophic when a general admission audience of 13,000 stampede,killing three individuals.One of the fathers brings suit against the band, but by spring '91 the case is dismissed.
January 18, 1974 : "BAD COMPANY" is formed.
January 17, 2001 : "METALLICA" bassist Jason Newsted leaves the band.
January 17, 1973 : Ace Frehley auditions for "KISS".
January 17, 1981 : Vince Neil joins "MOTLEY CRUE".

Steve undergoes surgery and early reports indicate he has two broken ankles, a broken leg and a broken rib.

January 8, 1991 : "DEF LEPPARD" guitarist Steve Clark is found dead in his London home.An autopsy concludes that he died from a lethal combination of alcohol and drugs.
January 4, 1978 : OZZY OSBOURNE rejoins "BLACK SABBATH" replacing Dave Walker.
January 4, 1986 : "THIN LIZZY" legend Phil Lynott dies of heart failure and pneumonia after a drug overdose.
