    3 May 2003: bassist Rana Ross (ex-"PHANOMBLUE","VIXEN") passes away from liver failure. She was 34.

    4 May 1973: "LED ZEPPELIN" opens their 1973 U.S. tour, billed as the "biggest and most profitable rock & roll tour in the history of the United States." A group spokesman predicts the group will gross over $3 million.


    4 May 1976: "KISS" performs their first concert in their hometown of New York City.


    6 May 1977: "LED ZEPPELIN" break their own world record for largest audience at a single-act concert by attracting 76,229 fans to the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan.

    1st MAY 1976 : "LED ZEPPELIN"'s "Presence" hits #1 in the US.


    1976 : "KISS" perform their first European concert.



    1977 : Following his exit from "DEEP PURPLE", vocalist David Coverdale releases his first solo album.
