CONCERTS IN ATHENS & THESSALONIKI - "MASTERPLAN"

    MASTERPLAN

    20 APRIL,GAGARIN 205 - ATHENS

    21 APRIL,YDROGIOS - THESSALONIKI

    (APPEAR WITH "SAXON")

Let’s briefly dwell on the current line-up: Jørn Lande´s place at the Masterplan mic has been taken over by a singer whose voice is perfect for this band: Mike DiMeo, a known quantity since his days with Riot and The Lizards, not only understands Masterplan’s special musical flair, incorporating it into his impressive vocal melodies, but he has also left his mark on the new album. It would be impossible to deliver a more convincing debut! The second new addition is Mike Terrana (ex-Rage), who recorded the drum parts for the new Masterplan material at the studio only a few days after drummer Uli Kusch had left the fold. Terrana and Grapow have not only been friends for years, they also have great artistic respect for each other as colleagues, showing on MK II how congruent their artistic visions are. Terrana’s drum parts are extremely intense, yet always leave the material enough air to breathe. Next to Grapow and the two new additions, DiMeo and Terrana, bassist Jan S. Eckert and keyboard player Axel Mackenrott, both members of the original line-up, continue to be an integral part of Masterplan, both having contributed compositions to the current album.

CONCERTS IN ATHENS & THESSALONIKI GREECE - "SAXON"

    SAXON

    20 APRIL,GAGARIN 205 - ATHENS

    21 APRIL,YDROGIOS - THESSALONIKI

Somewhere around South Yorkshire, UK there was a band that started life as SOB during 1976 with founder members Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson. This band joined forces with another local band, Coast, featuring Biff Byford on vocals and Paul Quinn on guitar. The two bands then finalised with a line-up comprising of the then 26 year old Graham 'Oly' Oliver, Steve 'Dobby' Dawson (27), Paul 'Blute' Quinn (26), Pete 'Frank' Gill (27) and Peter 'Biff' Byford (27). The name of the band was Son Of A Bitch. That name was dropped a few years later and the band re-christened themselves "SAXON".

"SAXON" continue to stamp their mark within the Metal community and continue to grow their ever increasing fanbase worldwide. The new album Lionheart came out in 2005 followed by an extended tour which is still continuing, culminating in the latest in the "EAGLE HAS LANDED" series of live albums due for release in mid 2006. This will coincide nicely with many major European and South American festivals this year.
